For each installment, the archive is queried
and certain types of images are retrieved. Images are categorized
according to location (ie X-ray machines, baggage claim,
customs etc), quality (ie still, moving, spinning, flat space,
deep space, pattern etc) or subject matter (shoes, escalators,
carpet etc). The resulting clips are pulled from the archive
and shown simultaneously in a multi-channel installation.
The number of channels is reflected in the title- for instance,
Geography Lessons (6 landscape studies, and counting) .
